AI Policy

Last updated: 24 April 2026

At Cairn & Cove, we see AI as just another useful tool in the toolbox, rather than a replacement for human writers. We place a lot of value on the ability of a human to cut through the noise, come up with trusted information and dig a little deeper than an LLM that often skims across the surface – and can’t always sniff the BS.

There is more than enough AI slop out there causing confusion and nurturing falsehoods within the travel industry too, so we are committed to ensuring the content we create isn’t contributing to that problem.

Here’s exactly how we use AI in our day-to-day operations:

We use AI for...
We don't use AI for...
Light research
Drafting / suggesting structure
Spellchecking
Analysing and summarising
Light fact checking (against trusted sources)
Organising information
Light coding
Organising calendars
Repetitive, menial tasks, e.g. organising tags or metadata
Writing full articles
Image generation
SEO
Scraping personal information
Messaging our audience
Writing emails or communications
Writing our social media posts
Spinning or copying competitor content
Generating false experiences or opinions

As you can see, our focus remains on working with human photographers, writers and designers rather than looking for cheap AI shortcuts or trying to boost clicks or revenue using AI.

If you wish to engage with Cairn & Cove, then you will also be talking with a human as we do not use chatbots or AI responders in any form.

If you have any questions about our use of AI, then please contact us.
